Technical staff of the City of Las Torres de Cotillas this week attended the annual act of Regional Policy and European Funds in Spain, organized in Madrid by the Ministry of Finance.
This day focused on the presentations of good practices in ERDF communication of the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Cantabria, the Basque Country, La Rioja and Catalonia.
"Our City Council attended as a beneficiary of these grants with the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) 'Las Torres Conecta', to learn about other experiences in good communication practices of the ERDF," explains Pilar Pérez Mas, Councilor for Transparency, Relations Institutional and Public Administration.
In addition to the various presentations by the representatives of the GERIP / GRECO-AGE, round tables were held on smart and sustainable growth and on sustainable and inclusive urban development.
The closing of the day was carried out by Mercedes Caballero Fernández, General Director of European Funds of the Ministry
Four axes
The Torreño municipality is currently developing the EDUSI Las Torres Conecta financed by FEDER funds, which is based on four main axes: improve the use and quality of ICT, favor the transition to a low carbon economy, protect the environment and promote efficiency in resources, and social inclusion and fight against poverty.
It has an aid from ERDF funds of 5 million euros, to which a municipal contribution of 1,250,000 euros will be added.
