The Department of Maintenance of the City of Las Torres de Cotillas is carrying out in this final part of the year a program of adaptation of various rural roads of the municipality, to regularize its current state and improve its performance.
"The works are being carried out mainly in the areas of La Los Carambas in the hamlet of La Loma, an area affected by the Segura river, and La Pilica, affected by Rambla Salada, which are the environments most damaged by both the usual traffic that support as per the effects of the past DANA ", explains the mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
The works contemplate the regularization of the gullies produced by the rains and the compaction of the existing base -including the contribution of artificial gravel- to correct the continuous bump produced by the use of these roads and that implies a progressive deterioration of the surface quality of the firm.
"It has also been planned to improve its drainage to evacuate perpendicular runoff that causes continuous flooding since it is about roads whose grade coincides with the natural exit of the waters," says the councilor and first deputy mayor María Ángeles Fernández Fernández.
Likewise, it is proceeding to clear and clean ditches, even creating them in those sections necessary for proper drainage of the road.
The roads that this action contemplates are the following: road in Los Carambas and Los Carambas II (bar 'Los Limoneros'), road in La Rafa next to La Media Legua, road La Olaya, road in front of 'GruexmaRB', road to El Pino , I walk in La Pilica (to El Salar and next Fripozo), I walk from Pepe de Agropor to Los Llanos and I cross the Rambla Salada from Los Albardines to Pedrusco.
