As every year around this time, the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna' of Las Torres de Cotillas was the setting chosen to celebrate the popular school festival of Christmas carols in the municipality.
With the participation of about 300 boys and girls from 3rd to 6th grade from the nine local schools, this cultural event organized by the Department of Education took place on Friday morning, December 13.
The participating centers were the 'Master Jesus Ferrer' with 'Duérmete';
the 'Valentín Buendía' singing 'Made with your dreams';
the 'Monteazahar' performing 'La Marimorena';
the 'Divine Master' presenting 'Follow your star';
the 'Susarte' with 'Malaika akawambia';
the 'Saint Joseph' singing 'Fall asleep Jesus';
'Vista Alegre' marching with 'Christmas Rock';
the 'Cervantes' cheering with 'Heavy and merry Christmas';
and the 'Master Joaquín Cantero' with 'To make toys'.
Finally, all the participants interpreted in common the popular Christmas carol 'December 25'.
This event was attended by Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández, and the Councilor for Education, Rafael Martínez García.
Upon completion, the participating centers received a diploma accrediting their participation and the school children received a small gift.
