Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated World Human Rights Day with two farewell parties for the school term with participants in the community participation project with children and adolescents in the Carmen neighborhood.
"We have worked on the importance of recognizing the existence of these universal rights, in an activity where participants read and reflected on the 30 rights to later carry out a drawing that they presented on the day of the party," explains the Councilor for Social Services, María del Mar Ruiz Rosillo, who attended this appointment.
In these fun days, which took place on December 12 and 13, the work done was presented, a snack was offered and a souvenir shirt was delivered.
"Celebrating this day with our children is very important because we bring them closer to the knowledge of these rights, promoting the coexistence between peoples, respect for dignity, the value of the person and equal rights between men and women," said the mayor. Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
This program that is developed in the Carmen Torreño neighborhood is 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the public-regional operational program of Spain 2014-2020, a project that is part of the line of action 07 'Plan for urban regeneration and social and labor integration in disadvantaged areas' of the thematic objective 09 "Promote equality, health and social inclusion" of the Strategy for Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development (EDUSI) 'Las Torres Conecta'.
