More than fifty people participated yesterday, Saturday, December 21, in the living Bethlehem that was represented in the La Florida neighborhood of Las Torres de Cotillas.
A new appointment - the first time something like this was done in the municipality - where visitors could see scenes such as the Annunciation, the inn, the birth or Herod's castle in the morning and afternoon, all surrounded by representations of crafts like milkmaids, washers, matachines, carpenters ...
The opening ceremony was chaired by the councilors of Festejos, Francisco José Caravaca Bravo, and Citizen Participation, Rafael Martínez García, and by the general director of Competitiveness and Tourism Quality, Maria Esther Tenza.
Also, this Bethlehem had the blessing of the head of the parish of Our Lady of Salceda, Ismael Sánchez, and with traditional Murcian music by the group of the social center of the elderly and the 'L'Almazara' club.
This representation, which had the collaboration of the Department of Neighborhoods and Pedanías, was located in the park next to the sports courts of this neighborhood, whose neighbors participated in the construction of the sets and in the realization of part of the costumes.
