When it was half past ten in the morning, practically an hour after the Lottery Administration named after the Patroness of Las Torres de Cotillas, the Virgen de la Salceda, watered the municipality with a shower of millions the Fat Prize given by the children of San Ildefonso, the door of the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Crucified Christ of this Villa was a hotbed of Nazarenes of both this passionate Brotherhood and the rest that move with devotion and eagerness the local Holy Week.
And that flow of brotherhoods had a good motive, one of the best that the human soul distills, that of solidarity and at a time as appropriate as the Christmas present now.
All of them putting their grain of sand in what became, on December 22, a successful, collaborative initiative to reach their shoulders, never better said, in the so-called First Solidarity Essay that, consisting of touring the immense throne of the Brotherhood through the streets of the town, collected kilos and kilos of staple food from the hands of neighbors, a human chain that has thrown as a remarkable balance the collection of a ton and a half of merchandise destined, via Cáritas, to those people who have a bad time, who have needs and that we are enough who do not forget their situation.
A good action is undertaken by the Brotherhood of the Most Holy Crucified Christ who, with the collaboration of the town hall and the Superior Council of Brotherhoods of which it is already part of the good results achieved, of the remarkable citizen response, Christmas will be repeated after Christmas in The Torres de Cotillas as a knock of conscience capable of calibrating with certainty the solidarity character that defines the residents of this town of Vega Media del Segura.
Always forward in this idea of actively participating in the construction of a more just society.
Chapó for this Brotherhood present in the social life of Las Torres de Cotillas for 54 years leaving a mark and sowing admiration for how much and good it does.
