The Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) 'Las Torres Conecta' of the City of Las Torres de Cotillas continues working its different lines of action.
Among them is the urban regeneration plan and social and labor integration in disadvantaged areas, which has already taken its first steps.
After the initial planning, his team of technicians and the Councilor for Social Services, María de Mar Ruiz Rosillo, met a few days ago.
"The objective of this meeting was to establish the guidelines for the development and implementation of this line of action, which we consider of vital importance to our people," said the mayor.
This plan is included in line 7 of the EDUSI Torreña, a project that has a total amount of 6,250,000 euros to make investments in the municipality.
Of that amount, 80% is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Spanish Multi-Regional Operational Program 2014-2020, while 1,250,000 euros will be contributed by the municipality.
"The main objective is to support groups at risk of vulnerability from a perspective that includes different aspects, because these realities require a multidisciplinary solution, such as the revitalization of public space and housing, the promotion of employability, training and social inclusion ... ", explains Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
