The Infant School 'Virgen de la Salceda' and the Child Care Center (CAI) 'Titina' of Las Torres de Cotillas have received an investment of municipal funds in excess of 30,000 euros for various general maintenance work at their facilities.
"The work has been carried out in areas that had not had the relevant maintenance since the inauguration of these municipal buildings, in 2004 and 2009 respectively, and which the passage of time had already affected," explains the mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández, who He visited these facilities this week where the services of reconciliation of personal and working life for the citizens of Torreña are provided.
Among the actions carried out is the painting of the interior of the buildings, as well as railings and metal structures;
sanitation-placement of anti-humidity meshes and tiles;
the replacement of children's interior fences with other homologated and special ones for children under 3 years of age, water heaters and synthetic wood changing tables in children's bathrooms;
the arrangement of the entrance stairs;
or the opening of ventilation holes in areas of refrigeration equipment by placing folding windows.
Improve services and image
These improvements have been carried out during the past months of November and December, at all times preserving the safety of the children who attend their facilities.
"We made this decision to improve both the provision of the service and the image of sanitation and maintenance that these buildings offer to user families," said the councilor for Equality, María del Mar Ruiz Rosillo, who also participated in the visit.
"For the government team that I lead, the safety and well-being of the smallest of our people is of vital importance," said the mayor.
