A year after its foundation, the Brotherhood of the Risen Christ and San Pedro de Las Torres de Cotillas, under the presidency of Antonio Vicente Belchí, received as a donation from the neighbor Antonio Vicente Fernández which, carved by the sculptor of the Murcian neighborhood of Espinardo Antonio García Mengual, is his co-image.
Blessed on the day of Kings of 1980 in the "Divine Master" College of the town, the Risen Christ would be carried on shoulders to the Parish Church of Our Lady of Salceda by several presidents of other brotherhoods on the throne of Our Father Jesus Nazarene and Holy Burial of Christ on rectangular iron steps.
For forty years, this life-size polychrome wood carving (1.75 meters) parades in the massive and powerful procession of Easter Sunday, starting from the hermitage of the Barrio de la Cruz to the aforementioned Parochial Temple of Our Lady de la Salceda, where the images of Saint John the Evangelist and the Virgin of Victory receive it, within the framework of that traditional Encounter that constitutes one of the great characteristic notes of Holy Week Torreña.
