The mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Joaquín Vela Fernández, presided on Wednesday, January 29, a meeting with representatives of the Las Torres Commercial Area (ACLT) - including their president, Mª Carmen Ballester - in which the issues that most They interest local commerce.
This meeting, which was held in the plenary hall of the City Council, also had the participation of the first Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Commerce, María Ángeles Fernández Fernández, and other members of the municipal government team.
"The representatives of the local merchants presented us with their main concerns and needs, and we discuss the most outstanding projects that are planned for their benefit," explains Mayor Torreño, who points out the lighting and street cleaning, and parking problems in the main street as the main topics discussed.
It should be remembered that the ACLT brings together more than a hundred merchants, hoteliers, artisans and professionals from the Torreño municipality.
For a fluid communication
"We believe that these meetings are useful and necessary so that there is a regular, direct and fluid communication between the City Council and the merchants, which are a fundamental part of the economic fabric of our municipality," said the first deputy mayor, who reports that he has established a calendar of periodic meetings.
"We want to sit down every two months approximately to share and jointly supervise the line of work that we develop for the local commercial sector," says the mayor, who anticipates that shortly the ACLT will hold a work meeting in Murcia with the general director of Commerce, Consumption and Crafts, Carolina Espinosa Gallego.
