The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas and the Association for the Integration of People with Intellectual Disabilities (CEOM) have renewed the collaboration agreement so that this entity continues to use the municipal tourist shelter facilities for its project 'Natural integration'.
The signing of the agreement was carried out by the mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández, and the president of CEOM, José TomásNicolás, on Wednesday, January 29 at the local City Council.
"We have renewed the transfer of these facilities so that they continue to develop these interesting environmental awareness activities for schoolchildren and other stakeholders, making known the flora, fauna and relief of the natural environment of Rambla Salada," said the mayor, who highlights The success of this project.
In this initiative, CEOM's own people with intellectual disabilities develop multisensory, recreational and informative activities, always supervised by professionals.
An activity that has a double benefit: awareness work is carried out on the importance of the environment among the population - especially among schoolchildren in the municipality - while raising awareness about the socio-labor integration of people with disabilities.
