The literary association Las Torres honored its president, the well-known poet Salvador Sandoval, on the occasion of his 92nd birthday.
It was last Friday, January 31 at the Pedro Serna House of Culture, in an act that had the collaboration of the Department of Culture and the assistance of Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
In the evening the members of the Tejuba group participated reading poetic pieces by the author Torreño and the spectators enjoyed the music of Pedro Cabrera.
Sandoval, a favorite son of Las Torres de Cotillas and who gives his name to one of the secondary schools of the municipality, was born in the Los Pulpites neighborhood in 1928. Disciple of Francisco Sánchez Bautista, he has received more than 150 awards throughout his literary career, among them the Polo Medina or the Albacara ", as well as the Cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso X the Wise.
