Continuing with its project of improvements in the municipality, the City of Las Torres de Cotillas has just completed actions in two municipal facilities coordinated by the Department of Maintenance of the City: in the playground located in the Barrio del Carmen, between Caravaca streets and Count of Romanones, and in the courtyard of the La Loma school.
"These are tasks that involve a small effort to the municipal coffers, but have a great reward in the quality of life of our neighbors," explains Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
In the children's play area of the Carmen neighborhood, the work has been aimed at improving the safety of small users, for which a total of 31,944 euros has been allocated.
Thus, safety floor with elastic base has been installed to cushion falls and artificial antistatic grass with sports fiber, similar to that used in other municipal parks in the town.
"In addition, a security fence has been placed to prevent children from directly accessing the streets that are very close to the park, thus complying with existing regulations," said the first deputy mayor, María Ángeles Fernández Fernández, who visited both points to assess the results of the work.
Also in La Loma
On the other hand, the playground of La Loma has also been provided with a playground, for which it has been necessary to condition the space thanks to an endowment of more than 15,3500 euros.
To this end, three tree shafts have been demolished, two trees cut down and bars placed in the gaps to avoid balonazos and a 4-meter-high fencing fence.
"The track and the lines of play have also been painted, and two anti-vandalism football and basketball goals have been placed," says Fernández Fernández.
