On February 21, the application period for the two free courses organized by the Department of Training, Employment and Personnel of Las Torres de Cotillas and that have a commitment to hire the Crown Food company, located in the municipality and dedicated to the manufacture of light metal packaging and packaging for the food sector.
"The first of these courses is auxiliary warehouse activities and the other metalgraphic operations, and both will contribute to the creation of qualified and stable local employment," explains Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández, who last Tuesday, February 11 signed with Tono Bernal, Human Resources Manager of Crown Food, the collaboration agreement to develop these activities.
"It is grateful for the collaboration of Crown Food in these courses where a certain profile is sought to offer a job to anyone who demonstrates having learned what is necessary," says the mayor.
In both courses, the participants who have passed the theoretical-practical training will carry out the module of non-work professional practices in this company and will be hired for a minimum period of 6 months full-time and according to needs.
Warehouse and metalgraphic
The auxiliary warehouse activities course is aimed at unemployed workers and does not require prior training.
It offers a maximum of 15 places, proposes a total of 210 teaching hours and will take place from March 2 to April 7, from Monday to Friday in the morning (from 8 to 15 hours).
The metal operations have 430 teaching hours and also with a maximum capacity of 15 people.
This course will be held from Monday to Friday and will have two different schedules: from March 2 to April 7 the schedule will be from 15 to 21 hours, and from April 8 to May 15 from 8 to 15 hours.
"After the summer another course of this type with the same characteristics is planned," says the Councilor for Employment, Elisa Isabel Hurtado Aviles, who was also present at the signing of the collaboration agreement.
After concluding the application period, interviews with preselected persons will take place on February 24 and 25.
Both initiatives are funded by the European Union and will be taught at the municipal training center of La Pilica.
