The 2020 Carnival of Las Torres de Cotillas begins tomorrow, Thursday, February 20 (9:00 p.m.) at the Casa de la Cultura 'Pedro Serna' with the performance of two chirigotas: the 'Gádor' of Almería and the Cabezo de Torres.
"It has been such a success among our neighbors that the free invitations have been exhausted and we have completed the capacity of the venue," said Councilor for Celebrations, Francisco José Caravaca Bravo.
The program will continue on Friday, February 21 (8:30 p.m.) in the same venue with the reading of the Carnival proclamation, which this year will be carried out by the Virgen de la Salceda nursery and the Titina Child Care Center in the voice of its director, Adela Barquero.
An evening that like all editions will have free admission and will be animated by carnival performances.
And as every year the parades will be the real protagonists with their color and joy through the streets of the municipality, with a journey from Juan Carlos I Avenue to the round of Mula Street: on Saturday February 22 (18 hours) the general will take place and on Sunday February 23 (12 hours) will be the child.
"These are celebrations in which our people turn around, showing all their imagination and their desire to have fun, and it is a pride to have such an extraordinary participation," said Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
