The Department of Employment and Training of Las Torres de Cotillas is coordinating local Public Employment Program projects, which have a total grant of almost 118,000?
Euros from the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and that this year will involve the hiring of 10 people.
"There are three lines, aimed at unemployed people enrolled in the Molina de Segura Employment Office and who are hired by the City Council," explains Councilwoman Elisa Isabel Hurtado Avilés.
"The main objective of this program is that unemployed people can gain work experience, while earning a salary for a period that will help them improve their occupancy in the face of the labor market," said Mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández.
The first line began last December and has a grant of more than 53,000 euros.
For six months two mason officers, a pawn and a painter officer will be in charge of small civil works repairs in the different municipal offices and on public roads.
Two other lines
In March, the other two lines of this local Public Employment Program will begin.
On the one hand, an official painter and two pawns will mainly repaint public schools (walls, ceilings, perimeter fences ...), for which the City Council has a grant of about 31,000 euros.
On the other, three cleaners will do their own cleaning of municipal public buildings (windows, lights, furniture, machinery and cleaning supplies ...) thanks to the SEF grant of almost 34,000 euros.
