Last Saturday, February 22, the regional school badminton final was played in San Pedro del Pinatar, in which the three classified educational centers of Las Torres de Cotillas took the podium.
In the Benjamin category the Susarte school was proclaimed champion, with a team composed of Toni Brao, Alicia Brao, Ainara Peñalver and Manuel Reina.
For its part, the IES Salvador Sandoval hung the bronze in children thanks to the performance of Enrique Fernández, Víctor Rodrigo, Paula Doñate and Marta León.
Finally, Candela Serna, Nuria Sánchez, Miguel Ángel Sarabia and Julián Martínez got a deserved third place for the IES La Florida in cadet category.
"We want to highlight and thank the work and promotion that CA Las Torres in its badminton section does for this sport in the municipality," said the mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández, who also wanted to highlight "the support provided by the Department of Health and Sport to this sport modality, in which it bets so much by the sport of boys as of girls ".
