| The interpreters of this amateur theater group prepare two new works for their repertoire by videoconference | The amateur theater group Tejuba in Las Torres de Cotillas is not stopped by Covid-19.
And it is that the actors of the most veteran amateur theater group in Spain continue their rehearsals - that is, at a distance, as it should be at this time - thanks to new technologies.
"We are rehearsing by videoconference, preparing our new productions for when all this happens and we can represent them in public.
It is not as comfortable as in person, but we are clear that the show must continue," they indicate from the group.
These new pieces are the comedy 'Arte', by Yasmina Reza, and the drama 'La herida luminosa', by Josep María de Sagarra. "The enthusiasm and love that our beloved actors and actresses put into their hobby is so strong that even this health crisis does not stop them from continuing to do what they like.
That is worth mentioning and for Las Torres de Cotillas it is a pride to have to Tejuba and situations like this further reinforce that feeling, "says Mayor Torreño Joaquín Vela Fernández. This theater group has more than half a century of history - it was born in 1966 under the direction of the longed for Juan Baño - and behind it has a repertoire of more than 40 plays, such as' La venganza de don Mendo ',' Don Juan Tenorio ',' El Prendimiento ', The prodigious shoemaker', 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba' or 'Bajar al moro'.
