| The people who participate will have their appreciation kit and will be able to send their own pieces, recommend readings, comment on them or complete a challenge | The Department of Culture of Las Torres de Cotillas wants to celebrate with a very special initiative the International Book Day, which is commemorated every April 23.
For this, the Rosa Contreras municipal library proposes for that date that everyone who wants to join this day send their collaborations to the email library@lastorresdecotillas.es.
"We want other people to enjoy the contribution of our citizens from the Facebook page of the municipal library, which is where all these collaborations will be published," explains Councilor for Culture Antonio Contreras Martínez. And it is anyone who is interested in participating can do it in three ways: sending a poem, story or own story; sharing their reading experience, with the recommendation of a reading, a favorite phrase or the opinion about our last reading; and, finally, completing the challenge that is to continue the phrase "That morning she leaned out the window ...". As a thank you, participants will receive a library kit when they reopen their facility and one day to double their loan number.
"We are experiencing a complicated situation with confinement due to the state of national alarm, but that does not mean that we stop doing the things we like.
And, if they are constructive and we can share them with others, much better," says the Mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández.
