| They contemplate various tasks and will have a budget of more than 107,000 euros | The Las Torres de Cotillasya City Council has begun work to renovate the asphalt on various streets in the Carmen neighborhood of the municipality, which are currently seriously damaged.
"It is a necessary and urgent improvement project, meeting the demands of the residents of the area and the recommendations of the municipal technical staff," explains the Mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
"Of course, to carry out these works, all the recommended safety and prevention measures will be followed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus," says the mayor. The works will be carried out on Totana, Lorca, Yecla, Cieza, Conde de Romanones streets (from Cartagena to Totana) and Parcelas (from Cartagena to Avenida del Trabajo).

In the same street, it has been planned to extend a section of sidewalk to give continuity to the pedestrian route that runs from the San Jorge industrial estate. This plan projected by the municipal government team is framed in the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) 'Las Torres Conecta', which is 80% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), through the Multi-regional Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020.
This action is framed in line of action 07 called "Urban regeneration plan and social and labor integration in disadvantaged areas".
