| These works aim to optimize the efficiency of the installation, where the self-consumption photovoltaic installation by solar panels will also begin shortly | The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas is finishing works to improve the air conditioning of the second floor of the Pedro Serna House of Culture, which houses, among other rooms, the municipal library and study room.
With an investment of close to 60,000 euros, the works will take little more than a month and its purpose is to increase power and sectorize the installation, improving its efficiency.
"We have studied the most appropriate solution with the most advanced technology in the field of air conditioning and high-quality equipment," says Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández. In this first phase, the existing installation in the second plant has been replaced by inverter systems with variable refrigerant volume, which allow the supply to be regulated according to demand, achieving savings of between 25% and 50%.
"The installation has been made independent by rooms, thus avoiding air conditioning in rooms that are not occupied, as was the case until now," explains the councilor for Urban Planning and the Environment, Francisco Fernández Baño. These works will be complemented by another ecological transition project in the same building.
"The work of a self-consumption photovoltaic installation that will save the municipality the emission of about 22,000 kg of CO2 per year will begin shortly," reports the councilor, who anticipates that this will also achieve significant economic savings in the electrical consumption of this building , encrypted at about 7,500 euros per year.
