This is the main objective of the campaign to raise awareness and prevent school absenteeism and dropout, which in a few days concludes the Department of Social Services of Las Torres de Cotillas.
"It is also intended to highlight the need to set goals that motivate young people to continue their studies," reports the councilor in the area, María del Mar Ruiz Rosillo. This initiative has its eyes on the next academic year and is not only aimed at students, but also at their families.
"It also seeks to promote family involvement in the educational process of their sons and daughters," says the mayor.
For this, information and awareness sessions have been held with ESO students, in which the importance of class attendance, academic and professional training, the establishment of objectives and goals that directly affect their personal, professional and future Social. In addition, there has been intervention at the family level supporting specific resources that prevent absenteeism, such as, for example, informing and orienting parents and students about help that improves the student's integration into the school environment; inform parents of the importance, need and obligation of school education for the social and personal development of their children; seek and establish with parents possible solutions to the problem of absenteeism of their children.
"For the different actions we have had the periodic coordination of the PTSC and teachers of the educational centers, who support us in the dissemination of this information among the educational community," says the councilor.
