| The agents had to break a window to rescue the feline, who sneaked into the car in an oversight of its owner before going to work | The Local Police of Las Torres de Cotillas carried out yesterday, Monday, August 17, an intervention to rescue a cat that had been locked up in a private vehicle on Bolivia Street in the municipality.
"The animal, which is domestic, got into the car due to an oversight by the owner, who went to work without noticing the situation," explains the councilor for Health and Animal Protection, Verónica Morcillo De La Torre. Before the alarm raised by a neighbor, the agents went to the place and tried to locate the owner of the car, without success.
They did contact a relative, who informed them that the owner was not aware of this circumstance and that it would take hours to return from work.
Therefore, the Torreña Local Police proceeded to break one of the vehicle's windows to free the feline, which is in good condition."These situations in which pets are locked in vehicles at high temperatures can lead to important financial and criminal responsibilities for their owners," says the Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco José Caravaca Bravo.
