| She got her medal in the championship held in Madrid this past weekend | The Torreña archer Mónica Puche has added a new medal to her extensive record.
On this occasion it was a bronze achieved in the Spanish Open Air Championship held this weekend at the Cantarranas sports complex in Madrid, specifically in the naked bow category.
"After a very rare qualifier and with regular scores, I finally managed to take the medal home," explains Puche, who admits that he did not have "good feelings" during the tournament. "Mónica is a benchmark in Torreño sport, not only for her great results, but also for her perseverance, sacrifice and dedication," highlights Torreño mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández.
Last February, the Torreña was proclaimed runner-up in Spain in the room in the same category in the tournament played in Marina D'Or, a medal that adds to other great national records.
