This PROPOSAL by the POPULAR TORREÑOS HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT by the PSOE-CITIZEN Government Team in previous plenary sessions.The Municipal Group of the PP in the City of Las Torres de Cotillas, since the pandemic that grips us broke out, has been actively and passively asking the Local Government Team to carry out massive tests to the neighbors for the EARLY DETECTION of COVID- 19.
As of today, there is NO ANSWER in this regard from this Consistory chaired by the socialist mayor Joaquín Vela.The popular Torreños WE CONTINUE INSISTING on this VITAL issue for the health of our neighbors and more now with the CLIMB OF CONTAGES in recent weeks.Since the beginning of April, this Municipal Group of Councilors of the PP Torreño has been proposing a series of measures to fight against the coronavirus, among them the REALIZATION OF MASSIVE TESTING TO THE NEIGHBORS of the town for the early detection of Covid-19.
It is one of the MANY INITIATIVES AGAINST THE PANDEMIC raised by the POPULARS in the plenary sessions held since May, one of the most important and unavoidable requests for the health, social and economic RECOVERY of the municipality against the coronavirus that the city council HAS NOT YET TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT .
But the matter we consider CANNOT WAIT MORE.Because there is an INCREASE IN CONTAGES in Las Torres de Cotillas and the PSOE-CITIZENS Government Team STILL DOES NOT START UP what we have been asking for: a MASSIVE PURCHASE OF TEST for the neighbors for the early detection of the coronavirus that would be paid for WITH CHARGE OF THE SURPLUS achieved by the previous PP council and whose fate and use the National Government has recently authorized after countless requests made by popular deputies in Congress and their mayors since the pandemic began.It is an EMERGENCY MEASURE that the PP asks them with common sense to undertake before the critical public health situation that grips us. Because the current situation caused by Covid-19 requires AGILE, EFFECTIVE and COORDINATED measures and, although all are urgent, the calls from experts and health professionals to carry out diagnostic tests are one of the highest priorities now with the escalation of numerous positive cases such as those registered by municipalities such as Las Torres de Cotillas in recent weeks. For this reason, this initiative of massive tests is raised from a long way back by the Torreño PP TO AVOID SPREADING SPOTLIGHTS.
A plan that STILL HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED in these terms by the PSOE-Citizens Government Team, having spent a LOT OF TIME AFTER the World Health Organization (WHO), in a report of February 12, already advised to prepare to take tests on a large scale.The European Union has called for very clear requirements that must be met in order to achieve a safe recovery: reducing both the spread of the pandemic and increasing test capacity.It is to focus on the implementation of a prevention of future outbreaks detecting asymptomatic and obtaining a better knowledge of those affected by the virus. We must believe in massive tests to detect the disease and isolate asymptomatic patients, as a preventive strategy and a way to defeat Covid-19.This is what we have been proposing from the Torreño PP since the beginning of April because it becomes a FIRST ORDER QUESTION that cannot be let go any longer; It will undoubtedly be money well invested with which we will know our state of health and will allow us to BE MORE PREPARED for outbreaks and detect asymptomatic people. We believe that a positive step has already been taken in this need, such as activating a test campaign for city council staff.
Now it's time to go out to carry out these tests TO THE NEIGHBORS AS A WHOLE, to those SELF-EMPLOYEES who backbone the economic life of the municipality, to the FAMILIES, to the NEIGHBORHOODS, PEDANIAS, to the POPULATION IN GENERAL. Therefore, in response to that responsibility and the social clamor and in guarantee of the safety of all, the PP of Las Torres de Cotillas, faced with the only priority that we all have now is to PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORS, especially the POPULATION MORE VULNERABLE to the coronavirus, we asked the PSOE-Citizens Government Team the question of whether they intend to do a MASSIVE TEST CAMPAIGN with SUPERURGENT CHARACTER and in what way and with what technical, economic and human means as a way to NORMALIZE the health, social recovery and economic of the municipality.We ask them if they plan to face the GREATEST of the torreños' general interests: THEIR LIFE and THEIR HEALTH.
The neighbors DO NOT DESERVE TO SUFFER ANY MORE the consequences of this pandemic.
