| This area supports large urban concentrations, since during the patron saint festivities it also hosts the fairgrounds | The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas has begun the works to install public toilets on the esplanade where the municipality market is held two days a week, in front of the Local Security Center.
These toilets will have a rectangular plant of about 24 m2 and in them will be installed measures to save water consumption, such as limiters in the taps and in the toilet tanks. This infrastructure, which will be located on Aguilar street and which has a municipal investment of about 36,500 euros, will improve the public service of the environment, where the fairgrounds are also installed during the patron saint festivities in August.
"The facility will have a toilet for men, women and adapted for people with reduced mobility.
The execution period will be two months," says the Councilor for Urban Planning, Francisco Fernández Bath. "This area supports large concentrations of citizens with markets and festivals.
This public service will provide a solution to the many people who need where to carry out their needs, eliminating possible hygiene and public health problems, which also entail extra costs in street cleaning ", explains Mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández.
