| The PP of Las Torres de Cotillas today accompanies the Minister of Education and Culture at the beginning of the expansion works of the "San José" Public School of the town financed by the Regional Government of Fernando López Miras | The investment that the Regional Government chaired by the PP has allocated for the expansion, renovation and improvement of the "San José" Public School of Las Torres de Cotillas amounts to a total of 1,214,613 euros, one of the most extensive actions draft that, in terms of conditioning of educational infrastructures, the popular locals carried in their 2019 electoral program, thus fulfilling the commitment with the children of the municipality. And the beginning of the works of such investment in teaching facilities in Las Torres de Cotillas, co-financed with FEDER funds, has had the visit this Tuesday morning of the Minister of Education and Culture, Esperanza Moreno, and the General Director of Educational Centers and Infrastructures, Verónica López, who, accompanied, among other municipal authorities, by the Councilors of the local PP Manuel García, Amalia Pérez and Francisco José Torres, have contemplated the initial phase of some works that, within an execution period of 12 months, consist of the expansion of both the Primary areas developed on the ground floor and the first floor, as a continuation of the existing building, and the Children's area developed on the ground floor in an annex and independent building. In the case of the Children's area, it will have two classrooms with adapted toilets, a multipurpose classroom, additional toilets for the center, adaptation of 600 square meters of patio and a porch of 75 square meters.The space for Primary will have four classrooms, a pencil case, a music room, a library, four support classrooms and two classrooms for technical support staff.
Likewise, it will have two physiotherapy rooms, an office for the AMPA, patio toilets, a warehouse and a 15-square-meter porch, as well as the adaptation of the Primary school yard and 800-square-meter sports court.The "San José" has about 500 enrolled students and, currently, has separate cycles of Primary Education, so that some students who use dining rooms must go daily accompanied by monitors to the old center, something that with the new works will not be necessary.With initiatives of this great magnitude, the PP is committed at all times to the quality of teaching, the best investment for an advanced society, in well-being and with a future.
