| In addition to dyeing the old Town Hall building pink, the City Council wore a huge pink ribbon on the world day of this disease yesterday, Monday, October 19 | Las Torres de Cotillas experienced World Breast Cancer Day yesterday, Monday, October 19, with a day full of symbolism.
"Since at this time in which the health crisis due to COVID-19 does not allow popular acts, such as those of awareness of this day, we opted for two gestures so that this commemoration was visible in our municipality," says Mayor Torreño , Joaquín Vela. Thus, at nightfall the façade of the old Town Hall building lit up in pink, remembering all the people who suffer or have suffered from this disease.
In addition, to commemorate this special day, a giant pink ribbon was placed on the façade of the City Hall, located in the Adolfo Suárez square. "This disease will affect more than 30,000 women in our country this year and we can all fight it.
Because by maintaining, defending and reinforcing a public health and social protection system we can reduce its consequences, which are not only physical", highlights the first mayor.
