The PP of Las Torres de Cotillas, through the 8 councilors of its Municipal Group, will take to the Plenary Session scheduled telematically for this coming Monday, October 26 (20 hours) a motion in defense of the Constitution, national unity, the separation of powers, the institutions of the State and the figure of King Felipe VI in the face of the numerous attacks recently made by the socialist-political government of Pedro Sánchez and Pablo Iglesias against the Judicial Power and the Crown.Raising this motion of the Popular Party will be a very good opportunity for the Municipal Corporation to rule on loyalty to our constitutional values ??and our institutions because it is very important that the Torreños know what the position is regarding their most direct representatives, such as councilors. And it is that the last volleys of members of the Government against the King and the independence of the Judicial Power - in the latter case, with the touch of Europe to the Executive of Pedro Sánchez - have caused in Spain an institutional crisis of the first order.
All this is added to other decisions of the PSOE and Podemos government, such as the approach of ETA prisoners to satisfy Bildu or the processing of pardons to favor those who have struck a blow to constitutional legality. Therefore, with this motion, all councilors of Las Torres de Cotillas, including the mayor, will have the opportunity to position themselves on the side of constitutional legality and the King or on the side of those who undermine them, such as the vice president of the Government, the ministers of Consumption and Universities, belonging to the United We Can coalition. In the text of the motion, the PP urges the Government of Spain to vindicate the 1978 Constitution as the basis of our democracy and a fundamental pillar of the extraordinary economic and social transformation of our country during the last 42 years and to respect, unequivocally, the separation of powers that constitutes one of the foundations of our rule of law. In addition, the popular Torreños urge to defend the unity of the Nation and the equality, in rights and duties, of all Spaniards and to protect and support the work carried out by all State institutions, with the King at the head, as the embodiment of the precepts contained in the Magna Carta.
