| With a budget of about 120,000 euros, this project responds to the problems that existed and future solutions in case of growth of the residential population in the area | The works to improve and renovate the sewerage network, the pumping station and the wastewater supply in the residential sector of Calle Diputación de Las Torres de Cotillas have already been completed.
"This project had two clear objectives: to respond to the problems that existed and to propose future solutions in anticipation of the growth posed by the General Municipal Plan for Urban Planning", explains the Councilor for Maintenance of the City and First Deputy Mayor, María Ángeles Fernandez Fernandez, These works, which had a budget of municipal funds of about 120,000 euros, had in its execution a new sewage collector where from now on the different farms located on both sides of the street will pour.
It has also involved the construction of a new wastewater pumping station and a discharge pipeline for these waters to a well located on Calle Mayor, as well as the renewal of vertical and horizontal signage. The new pipes have been made under the existing sidewalk and road, leaving the collector in the lower part and the impulsion on it.
"It is a work of wide scope, with a future perspective, whose main objective is the basis of municipal management: improve the quality of life of our neighbors," says Torreño mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández, who visited the area to check the result of these works.
