| A neighbor sounded the alarm when he saw three men trying to force the entrance door of the entity with a large stick | The Local Police of Las Torres de Cotillas arrested three men on the night of Saturday, November 21, for an attempted robbery at the municipality's Post Office branch, located on Paseo Fernández Jara.
The call from a neighbor around twelve o'clock at night warning that three individuals were trying to force the entrance door of the entity with a large stick activated the police device. "When our local police officers arrived at the scene, the assailants had already fled to Reyes Católicos avenue, intimidated by the establishment's alarm," explains the Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco José Caravaca Bravo.
Officers checked the damage to a door and window in the office, and rushed after the three men.
This event ended with the arrest of the three involved, who were placed at the disposal of the Civil Guard accused of attempted robbery. "We thank the neighbors who raised the alarm to prevent this crime.
Citizen collaboration to maintain security in our town is basic and is a great support for the work of the Local Police and the Civil Guard," says the mayor torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
