| The Department of Equality today presented its program of activities, which highlights the distribution of 3,500 commemorative masks | The Department of Equality of Las Torres de Cotillas has presented today, Monday, November 23, the activities to commemorate in the municipality the international day against gender violence, set as every year on the calendar on November 25.
"In this difficult situation that we are currently experiencing in the face of the health pandemic, we have had to adapt our proposal to guarantee the safety of all its participants," says Torreño mayor, Joaquín Vela Fernández, who anticipates that for this reason the popular march on foot and skates. Some activities whose most significant action is the distribution of the 3,500 masks that during these days already dye the municipality lilac to make their commitment against this social scourge even more visible.
"They are reusable and show the motto we have chosen for this year, which is a message as clear as 'Without equality there is no love'", reports councilor Elisa Isabel Hurtado Avilés, who also participated in today's presentation.
These masks will be distributed in municipal buildings and in local businesses, which collaborate to spread this awareness message to the entire population.
