| The Department of Commerce has launched the "Hosteler as " campaign to show institutional support for this group and raise awareness about responsible consumption in establishments | The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, through the Department of Commerce, has launched a campaign to enhance the value of the local hospitality industry, showing all its support for this sector in the face of the difficult moments that they live derived of the pandemic.
This initiative was presented this morning at a ceremony attended by hoteliers from the town and which was chaired by the Torreño mayor, Joaqu n Vela Fern ndez, and the first deputy mayor and councilor for Commerce, Marian Fern ndez Fern ndez.
The campaign has a slogan as clear and direct as 'Hosteler as ' and has various posters and merchandising, such as t-shirts or badges, for the staff of its establishments to use.
Its objective: to make the torreños aware that the hospitality industry needs to be consumed in the establishments in a responsible way.
"Now more than ever is the time to support our local businesses, our hoteliers, because they are part of the solution in recovery, they are not the problem.
We want to make it clear that the City Council is on your side.

"In addition, a commercial support campaign will be approved shortly in which we have involved the hospitality industry that will distribute 15,000 euros in prizes," he advances.
Various measures A support to the sector that this year has already been translated into various measures such as the municipal aid plan for SMEs that amounted to 120,000 euros; the revitalization of the terraces, with the suppression of the municipal tax for occupation of public space for 2020 and 2021, and the expansion of these areas; the advice of municipal technicians in various aspects; the preparation in the middle of the pandemic of a list of open establishments to facilitate their location to customers; etc.
"We must remember the importance that this group has in the economy and social life of Las Torres de Cotillas.
From the administrations we must work to try to minimize the economic impact that this health crisis is causing them," says the first mayor, who has advanced the inclusion of a 200,000 euro item for grants to SMEs and the self-employed in the 2021 municipal budget project.
