| They were trained in a course given by the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies and have been carrying out this health surveillance work for days | The team of municipal trackers of Las Torres de Cotillas is already working on their surveillance and health monitoring tasks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It is made up of 12 members trained specifically to track COVID-19 tracking at the municipal level, seven of them Civil Protection officers and five City Council officials," explains the Councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco José Caravaca Bravo.
These trackers were trained in a course given by the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies in Lorca a few months ago, and they work in coordination with the municipality's Health Center.
Specifically, the service has been located in the local House of Culture with the material and telephone lines provided by the City Council.
"We are doing everything in our power to control the increase in coronavirus cases in the municipality, from reinforcing police surveillance to awareness campaigns, passing through the delivery of masks to the population, intensifying the cleaning and disinfection work of public areas, etc.
