The group of amateur "Tejuba" Las Torres de Cotillas theater has already started with program of activities to celebrate this year 2016 the 50th anniversary of its creation.
After the performance last January the traditional "Auto Sacramental of Kings", on Saturday February 27 the House of "Pedro Serna" Culture Torrena hosted the performance of "Love with a capital", in which collaborated the " Association Literary Las Torres "(ALLT).
A veiled tribute to the more romantic feelings presented by the director of "Tejuba" Joaquín Cantero, which was chaired by the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Maria Zapata, and the popular local poet Salvador Sandoval, president of the ALLT.
This event featured verses recited, songs by Lola Gomez and partial representations of amateur actors torreños as "The Unfaithful Wife", "Don Juan Tenorio" or "fat Blood."
More activities
In March the activity will triple.
First on Friday 11 March on "Tejuba" act at school, "Marist" of Cartagena, where for solidarity will stage "Revenge of Don Mendo" immortal work of Pedro Muñoz Seca, who in representing Torreño has the participation of about 20 actors.
On Sunday March 13 activities will return to Las Torres de Cotillas with "The Arrest", while on Sunday March 20 that same work will be displayed in the "Victoria Theatre" White in an event organized by the local council to benefit the brotherhoods of the municipality.
On Friday April 1, on the occasion of "World Theatre Day" amateur actors represented in the House Torrena "Revenge of Don Mendo" one of the classics of his repertoire Culture.

Entered into summer
On Saturday June 18 also at the local House of Culture the "Tejuba" will celebrate its grand gala to celebrate this half century of existence and the next month, specifically on July 30, they have scheduled a performance of "The House of Bernarda Alba ".

More than 40 people
The "Tejuba" group is composed of amateur performers and has never stopped producing theater.
An activity that unites more than 40 people aged from one year to the seventies, because it has a large pool of actors who guarantee the continuity of this group.
Founded by John Bath, this group has gone through all the municipalities in the region of Murcia, and other neighboring communities such as Almería, Albacete and Alicante.
In their repertoire you can find skits, interludes, classical theater and theater today and mystery plays.
