The "Police Tutor" Las Torres de Cotillas program is immersed for a few days in the traditional school driver education campaign, in which 13 teachers in the city center with a total of 827 students.

As every year, schoolchildren in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools participating in this initiative which has two parts: a theoretical, which is currently being done in the centers and in which agents Torrena local police impart talks with various information and advice;

and practical, starting next week in the park mobile traffic municipal sports center with students putting drivers on bicycles week.

Participating schools are: "Cervantes", "Divine Master", "The Park", "Maestro Joaquin Cantero", "Monteazahar", "San José I", "San Jose II" "Susarte", "Valentine Buendía" "Vista Alegre" Vocational Training Centre "Our Lady of the Salceda" IES "La Florida" and IES "Salvador Sandoval."

Organized a year by local departments of Education and Public Safety, in collaboration with the local police and the body of Civil Protection of the municipality, its closure will take place on Friday, March 11 (10 hours) at City Hall "Mireia Belmonte ".

There the most outstanding students in the practical part held an exhibition with learning and participants will receive a corresponding diploma.

Against bullying

The "Police Tutor" Torreño program has already conducted other activities in local schools during this course, as talks aimed at preventing drug use (featuring schoolchildren in the new canine unit of the local police) or the prevention bullying or "bullying".

This initiative's main objective is to offer a specialized police response to problems that may have children in the school and family, through multidisciplinary solutions.

In fact, on Wednesday March 9 responsible for this program will move to IES "Salvador Sandoval" for, throughout the morning, give talks about bullying "courses of 1st and 2nd ESO. These will be completed in the other courses during the month of May.
