A logo is the representative image of the centenary of the municipality under the name of Las Torres de Cotillas.
That is what the Department of Culture Torrena seeking the contest presented Friday March 4 the mayor, Domingo Coronado, and Councillor for Culture, Maria Isabel Zapata.
"100 years ago that our people called Las Torres de Cotillas and we will celebrate this important anniversary with various events, starting with this competition," said Coronado.
"We shared the name of Cotillas with another municipality of Albacete and our City Council decided to change the current," said Zapata, who announced the prize of this contest will be a laptop for the winner and the invitation to the gala presentation of the logo.
This contest will be accepting submissions until May 2 and participants should draw a picture to identify the people.
It may be an individual or group participation of any person older than 16 years and the jury will be composed of the following local personalities: Ricardo Montes, official chronicler of the municipality;
Joaquín Cantero, director of amateur theater group "Tejuba";
Miguel Angel Lopez Cuevasanta known sculptor who lives in the town;
Pascual Campos, chief information officer of the City Council;
Salvador Sandoval, known poet and president of the "Literary Association Towers";
and Mayor Domingo Coronado as president.
It will be appreciated that an original image and logo must be accompanied by a brief explanation of the reasons why it is considered representative of the people.
The winning image will be used in all types of advertising material (brochures, billboards, posters ...) as well as in institutional stationery.
