Madrid writer Itziar Pascual was done with his work "The Book of Revelations" with the triumph of "VII International Poetry Contest Carmen Montero Medina", organized by the homonymous Foundation and the Department of Culture Cotillas Towers.
A prize of 800 euros in cash which was made public last Friday March 4, in an evening at which the winner could not attend for personal reasons.
The appointment was presided over by the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Maria Zapata, the president of the association, Carmen Montero, and cultural director, Maria Angeles Moragues.
Playwright, educator and journalist, which presented his book under the pseudonym Saoia Mendieta has, besides this, won several awards as a playwright with over thirty works published and translated, and as many as a researcher.
He is also professor of Drama and Dramatic Literature at the Royal School of Dramatic Arts in Madrid and PhD in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. "It is an honor for our people that a writer with such an extensive background like Itziar is made with the prize of this contest, "said Zapata.
