A large gathering of coexistence with multiple activities, to honor the roots of Cotillas Towers.
That was the "I Huertana Party", held in Constitution Park on Sunday June 5th, within the celebrations of the centenary of the change of name of the municipality at present.
A day that was organized by the "CotiFolk" -made up the rocks association "L'Almazara" and "Rincón Pulpitero" and ethnographic association "Vergel de Murcia- in collaboration with the Department of Culture.
This celebration began at midmorning with the opening of the enclosure, an act in which donuts, cake and chocolate were distributed free to attendees.
After a display of traditional games was held, with sack races, tug of war, giant rope, etc., which followed an unprecedented show: a musical duel against troveros measured rappers.
At noon there was the food, which tasted attendees rice and migas, drink, coffee and paparajotes at reasonable prices.
Programming and continued in the afternoon with the huertana nap, which had music, humor, competitions and dancing.
To close the day, mid-afternoon came a big farewell with a mass murciana jot, to which are invited all attendees.
