The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Thomas, recently signed with the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Domingo Coronado, an agreement, amounting to 60,155 euros for the service early care of children who have developmental problems.
The Early Intervention Centre offers 180 places for children in the municipality, receive comprehensive treatment, psychological care, speech therapy and physiotherapy, to develop their full potential.
Users of early care center are children with therapeutic, temporary or permanent needs arising from limitations, changes in development or risk of it.
They can also benefit from these services their families, whom guidance, training and the necessary support is provided to adequately address the family and social situation of the child.
The Department of Family and Equal Opportunity this year allocated 4.5 million euros to keep early intervention services that provide different municipalities and NGOs.
The regional government is preparing a decree regulating the intervention of specialized social care services early in the Region of Murcia, to be a public, universal and free for all children.
Early care is covered by the new text as a universal service for all children under six years, when the public service valuation determine their need.
