On Friday 29 July the amateur theater group "Tejuba" Cotillas Towers held a new stop in the celebrations of its 50th anniversary.
Included in the programming of the local Department of Culture and the House of "Pedro Serna" Culture of the municipality as stage actors Torreño represented the immortal play "The House of Bernarda Alba" by Federico Garcia Lorca.
With free admission, the stalls recorded a full house in an evening where attendees enjoyed this classic Spanish theater.
A work that tells the story of Bernarda Alba, who after being widowed for the second time at age 60 decides to live the next eight years in the deepest mourning.
In the work -written in 1936- highlight the features of the Spanish society of the early twentieth century, characterized by its traditional very violent in which the role women play is secondary.
"It's a work in which women are the protagonists, which is played exclusively by our actresses," explains the director Torreño group, Joaquín Cantero.
