The women's team petanque club "La Salceda" Cotillas Towers has won the bronze medal in the "International Tournament of Torrelavega" held this past weekend in the Cantabrian town.
Torrena who played this tournament, which brought together 32 men's teams and 14 women, were Silvia Soriano, Dolores Garcia and Maria Isabel Forest.
"We played in a group of seven teams and won six games played, including teams that had champions of Spain and the world, and were the only undefeated in the tournament in this round," Soriano said.
In the quarterfinals the players of "La Salceda" clearly imposed a team of Santander, but fell in the semifinals and picked up the third place.
