The "VIII International Competition of Poetry Carmen Montero Medina" will award with 1,000 euros to the best work.
A competition already renowned around the world, organized by the foundation "Carmen Montero Medina" and the City of Las Torres de Cotillas, which has been officially presented on the morning of Thursday, December 29.
"It is imperative that the poems are unpublished and have not been awarded in any other contest," said Councilor for Culture, Pedro Cabrera, who presided at the Consistory Torreño the presentation ceremony with the director of the foundation, María Ángeles Moragues .
To this poetic contest can be presented all those over 18 years of age who wish, with works written in Castilian, with free subject and with a minimum of twenty and a maximum of one hundred verses.
The deadline for admission of the poems will end on February 20, the award ceremony will take place on a date to be determined in the House of Culture "Pedro Serna" of the municipality Torreño and those interested in gathering more information can access the web Www.carmenmonteromedina.es.
