More than 50 participants in the "i badminton Christmas tournament" of the towers of gossip (10/01/2017)

The municipal pavilion "Mireia Belmonte" of Las Torres de Cotillas was the scene last Sunday January 8 of "I Christmas Tournament Badminton", which on December 17 was postponed by the rain storm.

"In the championship participated more than 50 players and was played in several categories, both men, women and mixed, as sub-13, sub-17, absolute, senior + 30, +40 and +50 years," explains Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.

It was a sports day organized by the club "Badminton Las Torres" in which there was not lacking the Christmas air of coexistence.

"Thanks to the sponsors the participants received a complete bag, with a T-shirt, energy bar, box of polvorones, juice and bottle of water", says the mayor, who remembers that the public also enjoyed gifts.

"All the attendees received coffee, tea and Christmas sweets, made by the mothers of Torres players," explains Pérez, who presided over the trophy presentation ceremony.
