Next Saturday, February 4, the "International Day Against Cancer" will be celebrated and the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas will join this very marked day.
And it will make it dyeing green, since both Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February the Torreño Town Hall will light up this color to commemorate this significant date.
This is an initiative of the Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), in collaboration with the local Consistory, which will add the installation of an information table during the day of Saturday (11 hours) at the Municipal Sports Center.
"We want to illuminate the facade of the City Hall because it is the color of the battle against cancer and is a symbolic way for our neighbors to remember all the people who fight against this disease, which unfortunately are many," says the president of the Junta Local Torana, Amalia Perez, who will also be present at the information day.
"Our volunteers will inform our activities to all those who want to pass by the stand and we will also distribute commemorative gifts of this date," says Pérez.
