Three days of intense meetings have resulted in the designation of the members of the Municipal Council of the strategy "Las Torres 2025 Ven y Quédate", promoted by the City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas.

Some meetings that have been held in the Plenary Hall of the Consistory Torreño between Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 January with the 111 associations of the municipality.

"This is a basic tool for the implementation and execution of the strategy, whose fundamental axis is citizen participation," said the Councilor for Proposals and Defense of Citizens, Gloria Fernández, who emphasizes that its role will be to "exercise as Consultative body of a permanent and multidisciplinary nature ".

This body is formed by the mayor, a secretary who will be elected from among its members and the corresponding members.

These, in addition to Angel González as deputy councilor of the strategy, have been chosen as follows: six appointed by cultural associations, five by sports associations, three by social associations and disabled, two by religious associations, Two by student associations and two by AMPAS of educational institutions, while youth associations, immigrant associations, associations of traders and entrepreneurs, each political group, each of the Most representative unions and the Commission monitoring strategy have each appointed one.

The creation of this council was approved in plenary last November, with votes in favor of the popular, socialist and citizen groups, as well as that of the non-attached councilor, and the vote against Cambio Las Torres.

Improve the municipality

The strategy "Las Torres 2025 Come and Stay" was born after a process that lasted months for the collection of ideas and proposals of citizenship, concession companies, entrepreneurs, businessmen, cultural, political and social agents of the municipality.

This is a line of work that takes into account aspects such as energy, environment, mobility, social integration and citizen participation.
