Improve the frequency of buses connecting Las Torres de Cotillas with Murcia and even create a short-term line that directly links both municipalities.
Those are the main points that have been addressed by the Mayor, Domingo Coronado, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, Yolanda Muñoz, and the General Director of Transport, Coasts and Ports, Salvador García-Ayllón, at the meeting Which have held today Wednesday January 1 in the City of Torreño.
"In the hardest times of the crisis we had to increase the frequency of passage of the bus that goes to Murcia from one to two hours and now that the economic situation begins to improve we want to return to the previous schedule," explains Coronado.
This meeting has also dealt with the request of the Torreño City Council to create a line that connects the municipality with the capital without passing through Molina de Segura or Alcantarilla, as before.
"We want to offer our neighbors the best urban transport service we can and this would be the perfect solution because it would greatly reduce the time spent to move to Murcia or return to our locality," says Coronado, who has highlighted Munoz's excellent predisposition to approach These requests to give them a prompt response.
Muñoz explained that the Ministry "also intends to improve the frequencies, expeditions and routes of buses that take students to universities, and will study the implementation of services of direct connection with the Campus of Espinardo of the University of Murcia and The Campus of the Catholic University ".
In addition, the meeting also discussed other issues related to the urban planning of Las Torres de Cotillas.
