The Local Board of Las Torres de Cotillas of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) celebrates this weekend in the municipality in collaboration with the local Consistory the "International Day Against Cancer", which is commemorated today Saturday 4 February.
This morning he has installed a stand at the Municipal Sports Center where his volunteers have reported on their activities and have also distributed commemorative gifts of this date, such as key chains or apples.
"We are always at the disposal of anyone who needs us and in such marked days as this we went out to the street to try to raise awareness about this disease," explains the president of the Local Board Torrena, Amalia Perez, who thanked the mayor Sunday Coronado, your participation in this activity.
In addition, both in the afternoon of today and tomorrow Sunday, February 5, the Torreño City Hall will be illuminated green to commemorate this significant date.
"We want to illuminate the façade of the City Hall because it is the color of the battle against cancer and it is a symbolic way for our neighbors to remember all the people who fight against this disease, which unfortunately are many," says Perez.
