The young athlete Torreño Sergio Jornet continues to add successes without stopping.
After recently debuting with the Spanish national team heptathlon - improving his best mark - this past weekend was the national title on the indoor track of this modality in sub-23 category.
And it did it in the XXXII Championship of Spain Promise PC disputed this past weekend in Madrid, surpassing again its particular record, in this occasion in 15 points, to leave it in a total of 5,110.
The athlete of the club UCAM Cartagena, which this year turns 21, was raised with this title in the Municipal Sports Center "Gallur" (Madrid), in a championship that brought together the best promises of Spanish athletics.
"Sergio is an example to follow, for his achievements, his quality, his constancy and his sacrifice", explains Torreño Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez, who wanted to congratulate him for his title and recalls that all these triumphs Are more meritorious because "lives in their day to day, in their training and in their competitions with diabetes that was diagnosed at age 11."
With a large number of medals in national championships combined tests in the lower categories, Jornet was chosen last November as "Best athlete of the year male promise" by the FAMU.
