The municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas has been left without Ambrosio Perez Navarro, the longest person in the municipality.

With 101 years recently completed, the centenary "grandfather" died a few days ago.

"We send our deepest condolences to his family," says the mayor Torreño, Domingo Coronado, who wanted to highlight the affection his countrymen had for the deceased.

About a year ago, Ambrosio was honored by the Torreño Town Hall when he celebrated his 100th birthday at an event held at the Senior Citizens' Day Center.
